Investment Property in Italy
Buying property in Italy has always given good returns. The coastal resorts traditionally offer cheaper prices than the more popular resorts in Europe and there are still great bargains to be found.
Many areas of Italy have opened up recently due to cheap airflights to smaller airports, offering excellent investment property opportunities. This has opened up new areas such as Le Marche, Abruzzo and Puglia, which offer excellent bargain properties and have seen a huge market growth. Puglia is currently experiencing an average of 20 to 25 per cent price appreciation on an annual basis, most other areas of Italy usually experience between 10 and 20 per cent growth per year.
Tuscany still remains an attractive market, particularly Florence and Chianti, prices are the most expensive in Italy and are not expected to decrease. Florence and Venice offer slightly cheaper investment opportunities for those wishing to invest. Venice has always been a reliable earner due to it unique waterways, limitations and restrictions on building plus high demand it is a good investment. Over nine million visitors go to Venice a year, which means any rental property is a good investment.
